From the Director

Brad Gilbert, Director

Having a community that is prepared for the next disaster is essential to limit the loss of life and property.  The Union County Emergency Management Agency works to develop plans, exercise those plans and train with our local partners and first responders as well as educate our residents and visitors so that when disaster strikes we can come through it as least affected as possible.

The Union County Emergency Management Agency (UCEMA) is authorized by Ohio Revised Code to coordinate and administer countywide all-hazards emergency management and disaster preparedness functions for Union County and its political subdivisions.

We encourage all residents to have a plan for your family, a 3-day disaster kit and to make sure your place of works does as well.  Information on disaster preparedness can be found at ready.gov

Disaster Preparedness, Response and Recovery requires a Whole Community approach.  Follow our social media platforms for more information on how you can be preparedness when disaster strikes.
