2024 UNION SWCD TREE AND SHRUB SALE

Thank you to all who came out Saturday to support our annual Tree Sale. If you missed the Saturday sale, stop in our Soil and Water office in the Union County Ag Center Building. We still have all the species available except for the Norway Spruce and the American Chestnut. If you'd like to purchase trees, our office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. trees. If you have questions, contact our office at (937) 642-5871 Ext. 4.

Union SWCD is seeking one (1) candidate for its Board of Supervisors for the 79th Annual Banquet and Election to be held on August 7, 2024.

Board Supervisors guide the district, its staff, and cooperating agencies in efforts to implement conservation programs in the county that address the management and conservation of soil, water, and related resources.  Board members should have a sincere interest in conservation and must have the enthusiasm, dedication, and time to serve as elected officials. 

What a potential supervisor needs to know:

* Candidate must be over 18 years old and a resident of Union County.

* This is a volunteer position and runs for 3-year terms.

* Board meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of the month @ 6:00 p.m.

* Attendance at occasional outside meetings, events, or training is required.

2024 UNION SWCD BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE

The following is the 2024 regular meeting schedule for the Union Soil and Water Conservation District’s monthly meetings.  Each meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Union County Ag Center’s Buckeye Meeting Room at 18000 State Route 4, Marysville, Ohio 43040.  Occasionally, a conflict may arise with a meeting date, time, or location.  We recommend calling the office to confirm when you plan to attend a meeting.

The meeting dates are as follows:

 January 11, 2024  February 8, 2024  March 14, 2024  April 11, 2024
 May 9, 2024  June 13, 2024  July 11, 2024  ** August 7, 2024
 September 12, 2024  October 10, 2024  November 14, 2024  December 12, 2024

** Meeting will be held different day and time than normally scheduled
