Meeting with the Union County Board of Commissioners
The Union County Board of Commissioners meets every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m., the Commissioners will allow citizen comments/discussions at their discretion.
The Open Meetings Act mandates that all meetings of the County Commissioners are open to the public, unless in executive session, however the Act does not necessarily provide attendees the right to be heard at meetings.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Union County and the City of Marysville intend to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP) for Community Development Block Grant and HOME Program funds which are federally funded programs administered by the State of Ohio. Union County and Marysville have formed a partnership and together will apply for $750,000 in PY 2019 CHIP funding. Union County will be the lead Applicant. The CHIP program activities are all designed to benefit low-to moderate-income owner occupied households.
Based on identified needs, citizen input and local officials’ assessment of the needs, the County proposes to include the following in the PY 2019 CHIP application: $225,000 in CDBG funds for owner-occupied home repair of approximately 17 units. HOME funded activities include $391,000 for owner-occupied rehabilitation of approximately 11 units; $44,000 to assist Habitat for Humanity to build 2 homes. The remaining $90,000 will be used for administration and fair housing. Union County will also leverage approximately $48,200 in Housing Program income in conjunction with the owner-occupied rehabilitation activity. The activities are available anywhere in Union County and City of Marysville. All activities must be completed between September 1, 2019, and October 31, 2021.
A public hearing will be held on April 30, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Union County Commissioners’ Office, 233 W. Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040. Citizens are encouraged to attend in order to comment on the County and City proposed CHIP grant program application.
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for Construction of the Union County Prosecuting Attorney Office and Courthouse Entry in Marysville, OH, will be received at the Office of the Union County Commissioners at the Union County Building, 233 West Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio, on April 25, 2019 at 10:30 am at which time and place all complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Architect. Bidding Documents may be obtained upon request by emailing request to:

The project involves additions and renovations to an existing one-story building, and an addition to the Union County Courthouse in Marysville, OH.
Prime Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact the Architect. Email bid package requests to Rachel Driggs firstname.lastname@example.org and a Web site link to access the bidding documents will be will be emailed. Contractors shall access bidding documents and print copies at their own expense. A deposit is not required to access the Web site.
A certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of Ohio in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid.
The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and a Maintenance Bond for 100% of the contract award.
An Optional Pre-Bid meeting will be held on April 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Office of the Union County Commissioners at the Union County Building, 233 West Sixth Street, Marysville, Ohio. The Pre-Bid meeting is an opportunity for contractors to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information.
The Board of County Commissioners of Union County, Ohio reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bids, and to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder as determined by the Board of County Commissioners of Union County.
After the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, no Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days.
