In response to the current COVID-19 situation, the Union County Engineer has taken the following measures to keep customers, employees and the general public as safe as possible while continuing to provide necessary services.
Starting July 1st, our lobby will open back up to the public, on an as-needed basis. Our normal office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. We encourage everyone to wear a mask and maintain social distance at all times. We have a small supply of masks available if you do not have one. Your cooperation in this matter is much appreciated. As we have limited space in our lobby, please pay attention to the markings on the floor and wait outside our office if the designated waiting areas are all full. Only one person at the counter at a time.
While the lobby is technically open to the public, we are encouraging everyone to try to limit the amount of time they spend in our office. In order to facilitate this, we will continue to maintain the document pickup and drop areas we are currently using. If you do not require in-person assistance, please continue to use the pickup and drop off areas as much as possible. We will continue to provide services online and by phone as well. Further specific details can be found below.
This plan is subject to change with new developments.
We appreciate your patience and assistance with these adjustments so that we may continue to provide necessary services while protecting the safety and health of everyone. Thank you!
Building permit applications and plans may be dropped off at the appropriately marked drop locations outside our office.
