Special Deputy Bureau

The Special Deputy Bureau is a group of volunteer deputies that assist the Sheriff's Office with a variety of operations.  Special Deputies are peace officer certified (OPOTA Certified) in the State of Ohio and are required to meet all training and certification mandates.  This bureau assists the Sheriff by working patrol duty, assisting with traffic control at parades and providing security at local events.  In addition, special deputies are called upon to assist with searches, major investigations and community service programs.

The Special Deputy Bureau meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 1600 hours.
