Union County Offices with Revised Office Hours and/or Public Availability Changes

Records Center and Archives

Effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Union County Records Center & Archives and Union County Law Library reading room will have restricted access to the public in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Any member of the public needing any public records or law library resources may make their request electronically at sbadenhop@co.union.oh.us or via telephone 937-645-4177.  Any record or resource requests will be fulfilled either electronically or via the U.S. Mail.

Union County Auditor

In response to the COVID-19 situation, the Auditor's Office will continue to provide public services to the best of our ability. Being mindful of public health concerns, effective March 19, 2020, our offices will be closed to the public. For those who need to conduct title work/land transfers, a drop-off/pick-up area is available in the building.

Union County Chamber of Commerce

Effective 3/18 through 6/1:

  1. The office is closed to the public
  2. Staff will be teleworking or working on special projects in the office while practicing social distancing
  3. All in-person meetings are canceled in favor of conference calling or other measures
  4. All Chamber Division and Association meetings are being held virtually
  5. The Union County Visitors Center, Union Station 1820, will reopen on Fridays and Saturdays beginning on May 22 and May 23
  6. The Marysville Entrepreneurial Center is being held virtually
  7. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) of Union County is canceled

Clerk of Courts Office-Common Pleas Court

No longer accepting walk in customers with cash payments for court costs. Please utilize our online payment method, our phone in method or mail a check, money order or cashier’s check to the address listed below. Please remember to write your case number on your check for proper credit.

Union County Clerk Of Courts Title Division Offices

Revised Hours Set for June 8, 2020

The Clerk of Courts Auto Title Departments will follow the social distancing precautions put in place by the CDC and will also limit the number of customers in our lobbies.

The Marysville Title office will allow no more than 6 people in the lobby at any given time.

The 161 Branch Title office location will allow no more than 5 people in the lobby at any given time.

  • Customers will be asked to wait at the designated spots outside the offices. No customers will be permitted to sit in our lobbies.
  • Customers are encouraged to pay by check or credit/debit card.
  • Customers also may obtain their title via the mail in process.
  • Masks are recommended but NOT required for the public; as well as using their own ink pen to fill out the title assignments and applications.

8am- 10am: Dealer and Financial Institutions title work processed.  Any title work dropped off after 10 am each day will be processed in order received. Staff will call dealership when title work is completed.

8:30 am- 4:00 pm Office open to the general public

Our Office will reopen to the public 06-15-20, we STRONGLY encourage all visitors to wear a face covering. The Board of Commissioners will continue to hold Session meetings via Zoom, you may access the Boards current Agenda on our Meeting Schedule page.

Until our office reopens, if in person access can be postponed, please do so. Many business activities can be conducted using technology. Union County Human Services

Effective April 2nd Union County Human Services has closed the lobby to the public. Human Services includes Job and Family Services, Senior Services and UCATS. Services to the public continue.

OSU Extension Offices

Ohio State has officially closed all OSU Extension Offices  and no 4-H or Extension activities until further notice.

Feel free to call, email, etc. with any OSU Extension staff member as you normally would.

Union County Court of Common Pleas Probate & Juvenile Division 

The Probate and Juvenile Clerks’ Offices are open for court business only; anyone without specific business in the Courthouse is discouraged from visiting.  The public is welcome to call the Court at (937) 645-3029 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. for guidance; Probate and Juvenile Court staff will be available by telephone and email, mail will be received, and clerks’ offices will remain open to receive filings.  The Probate Clerk’s Office will process Marriage License applications. Please see our Marriage License  web page for more details

Most hearings scheduled from March 16, 2020 to June 1, 2020 are continued if Ohio law otherwise allows. See the orders for the Probate Division and Juvenile Division for more details. To the extent possible, hearings that are not continued will be held either telephonically or by video conference. Questions about whether proceedings have been continued should be directed to the Probate & Juvenile Court by calling the number above.

The Juvenile Probation Department, located at 18000 St. Rt. 4, Suite D, Marysville, OH 43040, may be accessed by appointment only with a probation officer.

Recorder’s Office

Beginning June 1, 2020 our office will be open by appointment only, please contact us at 937-645-3032 or email us at tmarkham@co.union.oh.us or kriffle@co.union.oh.us to schedule an appointment.

As of June 15, 2020 the Recorder's Office will be open to the public.

We will Require all visitors to wear a face covering while visiting our office.  A document drop off box will also remain available outside our office for your convenience.
