Probate And Juvenile Court Judge

On February 9, 2003, the Honorable Charlotte Coleman Eufinger became Judge of the Union County Probate and Juvenile Court.  Judge Eufinger is the sixteenth Judge of the Union County Probate Court and the eighth to be elected as Judge of both the Probate and Juvenile Courts.

Judge Eufinger is actively involved in a variety of professional boards, agencies, and activities.  She is a member of the Union County and Ohio State Bar Associations and the Ohio Association of Probate & Juvenile Court Judges.  She serves as a member of the Ohio Commission on the Rules of Superintendence and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Association of Juvenile Court Judges and  Judge Eufinger was appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Children, Families and the Courts where she serves on the Subcommittees for Legal Representation and for Adult Guardianships.  In addition, Judge Eufinger is a member of the Probate Law and Procedures Committee and the Juvenile Law and Procedures Committee of the Ohio Judicial Conference.

Prior to taking office, Judge Eufinger was a partner in the Marysville, Ohio law firm of Coleman, Eufinger and Aslaner, specializing in family law, estate planning, and probate law.  She has been active in the community and state, holding positions on numerous boards, including the board of U-Co Industries, Children, Inc., the International Family Center, the Marysville High School Scholarship Foundation, and the Union County Memorial Hospital Association, where she chaired the Hospital Scholarship Committee.  In addition, Judge Eufinger has served as a member of the Ohio University Board of Trustees and the Ohio University Foundation Board of Trustees.

Judge Eufinger is a life-long resident of Union County, attending Trinity Lutheran School and graduating from Marysville High School.  She graduated with an A.B. in history from Miami University in 1969, where she also obtained a teaching certificate in history for grades 7-12.  Judge Eufinger then went on to the Ohio State University College of Law, where she received her J.D. in 1972.  Judge Eufinger has been married for 38 years to husband and former law partner John M. Eufinger, and has a son and daughter in law, Tony and Megan and a daughter, Mary.
